PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
Medical Assistance UK is NOT an “emergency service” so, if an injury or medical condition is life threatening or limb threatening, and/or the situation is very urgent in any other way, you must telephone 999 or 112 and ask for an NHS ambulance.
It is stressed that, if your medical need (i.e. an injury or acute condition) is life or limb threatening, you should NOT use Medical Assistance UK. Our mobile service does not have the facilities of a modern NHS hospital.
Medical Assistance UK will not be held responsible for any patient(s) if their injury or condition deteriorates due to the fact that the patient and/or his/her friends and/or relatives choose to ask MA(UK) to see any patient who urgently requires an NHS ambulance.
Medical Assistance UK personnel will always endeavour to ascertain the seriousness of any injury or condition but our telephone operators can only ask and answer questions. Therefore, if you have any doubt with regard to whether MA(UK) should be used or not – you should call NHS Direct and/ortelephone 999 and ask for an ambulance.
