Mobile Phlebotomy (Blood Test) Service

Have you ever wasted your time....waiting to have a simple blood test?

Good news! Medical Assistance UK is able to visit you, in the comfort of your own home, on mutually agreed day and time. In fact, if your workplace is in our geographical area, we can also visit you at work.

This obviously means that you will never again have waste your valuable time – travelling to and from your GP’s surgery, hospital or clinic – just to have a simple blood test. When we visit you the whole procedure will normally take less than five minutes.

Your blood sample will then be delivered to an NHS or private haematology laboratory quickly so that it can be professionally analysed. You will then be able to find out the results in the
usual way.

Your blood will be taken by qualified “phlebotomists” or by other healthcare professionals (e.g. nurses) who have been trained to do the job properly. Your blood will always be collected in a highly professional way because, if blood specimens are contaminated in any way during collection, the test results may be unobtainable or worthless.

If you are someone who suffers from a needle phobia and/or you don’t like having your blood taken we can assure you that everything possible will be done by Medical Assistance UK personnel to make the experience as comfortable and painless as possible.

If you would like to add our mobile phlebotomy service to your Medical Assistance UK plan you can choose the option at anytime.  Alternatively, you can pay a set fee for the special service - if you prefer to wait until you need a blood test. However, please note that if you decide not to add this service to your MA(UK) plan before you need us, we will ask you to pay an additional fee when the times comes to do your blood test.

All Medical Assistance UK members should note that, regardless of the plan you choose when you become a member, MA(UK) will ask you to pay for any additional expenses that may be involved in your blood test.  However if you choose to add this option to your Gold, Silver or Bronze package you will not have to pay any additional fees if you are an NHS patient – unless an additional fee is requested by the NHS.

Please note that Medical Assistance UK Ltd is not an Emergency Service so, if you have a
