Mobile Post-Operative Service
Surgical operations are divided in major, intermediate and minor procedures
Currently, about 50% of all surgical operations undertaken by the NHS involve day surgery procedures - and, every year, millions of ‘Day Stay’ operations are performed in the UK.
Day surgery is cost-effective for the NHS and many people feel that it causes less stress and disruption to most patients. The majority of Day Stay patients go home the same day and usually need minimal post operative care – apart from, perhaps, some pain relief and a follow up appointment at a later date
However, it should also be remembered that thousands of patients need different levels of post operative care when they get home and Medical Assistance UK offers a comprehensive service to support private individuals, private hospitals and clinics, NHS Day Stay Units, surgeons and anaesthetists.
For instance, every year, thousands of patients undergo different types of ‘keyhole surgery’ and (although the incisions are small and recovery is usually faster) many patients do not realise the extent of the surgery that they have had done – and it is sometimes easy for a patient to attempt too much too soon.
Medical Assistance UK is able to arrange various levels of support to help every patient after a surgical procedure – and before if necessary!
MAUK has the necessary resources and expertise to arrange a qualified nurse or HCA to look after any patient before and after their procedure. For instance, we are able to...
-
